Adding TTF & OTS fonts to OpenOffice and LibreOffice

Adding and using True Type Fonts (TTF’s) or OTF’s in OpenOffice.org or LibreOffice is extremely easy on Linux. You do not need to add them to the global system, but simply need to copy the TTF’s to a certain directory in your $HOME, and restart OpenOffice.org / LibreOffice.

Just copy all the fonts you want into: ~/.fonts/
